First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has partnered with 247 Travels to introduce “Book Now, Fly Later,” a financing initiative that enables eligible customers to access loans of up to N10 million to purchase international airline tickets and repay over a period of three to nine months.
The scheme is aimed at helping Nigerians manage travel expenses for purposes such as business, education, medical treatment, tourism and family commitments by spreading the cost over time.
Powered by FCMB Premium Banking, the facility is available only for airline tickets booked through 247 Travels. Both salaried and self-employed FCMB customers who meet the bank’s eligibility requirements can apply, with successful applicants expected to receive approval and loan disbursement within 24 working hours.
FCMB said the partnership combines its lending services with 247 Travels’ flight booking platform to provide customers with more flexible payment options as demand for instalment-based financing continues to grow.
FCMB Managing Director, Yemisi Edun, said the initiative is designed to make international travel more affordable while giving customers greater flexibility in managing their finances. She added that the programme aligns with the bank’s commitment to driving inclusive growth through innovation and strategic partnerships.
Also speaking, Managing Director of 247 Travels, Tunji Adeyemi, said the offering addresses one of the biggest challenges faced by travellers by removing the need to pay the full cost of airline tickets upfront.
FCMB’s Group Head of Premium Banking, Opeyemi Makinwa, noted that the product reflects the bank’s focus on delivering lifestyle-oriented financial solutions that provide customers with greater convenience and financial control.
Interested customers can apply through the FCMB Book Now, Fly Later platform or the 247 Travels website by selecting their preferred flight and submitting a financing request. Once approved, the loan is disbursed and the ticket is issued through 247 Travels.
