United States President Donald Trump has rejected calls for international oversight of artificial intelligence, describing such proposals as a “globalist scheme” aimed at controlling the technology.
Trump made the remarks on Tuesday while addressing the United Nations General Assembly.
During his address, the US president also announced that the American government would begin using the term “super intelligence” instead of “artificial intelligence” in its official communications.
He expressed the hope that other countries would adopt the terminology.
