EPL: Tottenham Agree £75m Deal for Manchester City’s Savinho

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign Brazilian winger Savinho for £75 million, with a further £10 million potentially payable in add-ons.

The 22-year-old is expected to undergo a medical before completing his transfer to north London and signing a long-term contract with Spurs.

The deal follows more than a year of interest from Tottenham, who previously attempted to sign Savinho last summer. The winger opted to stay at Manchester City, but struggled for regular playing time last season, making only seven Premier League starts.

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has already overseen significant spending this summer, with the club paying £185 million for midfielders Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle.

Savinho’s transfer will push Tottenham’s total summer spending beyond £300 million. The club, however, have raised around £140 million through the sales of Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Luka Vuskovic.

Spurs are also continuing talks for another Manchester City player, Omar Marmoush, with negotiations reportedly making progress.

The Egypt international joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million in 2025 but dropped down the pecking order last season and could now be allowed to leave.

Tottenham also remain interested in Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, although it is uncertain whether the club can fund a deal for the Netherlands international while pursuing Marmoush and completing the Savinho transfer.

Tottenham will open their Premier League campaign away to Brentford on Saturday at 17:30 BST, while Manchester City will host Bournemouth on Sunday at 14:00 BST.
