The company disclosed the figures in its financial results released on the Nigerian Exchange Limited, NGX.

HBM Nigeria also reported a 31 per cent increase in net sales during H1 2026, attributed to an 11 per cent rise in sales volume, improved operational stability and more efficient distribution.

Operating profit climbed by 51 per cent, rising from N192.270 billion in H1 2025 to N291 billion during the period under review.

The company’s operating margin also improved significantly, reaching 43 per cent, compared with 37 per cent recorded in H1 2025.

Commenting on the performance, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HBM Nigeria, Lolu Alade-Akinyemi, said the results reflected the company’s continued business strength and progress in implementing its strategic priorities.

He attributed the performance to disciplined cost management, improved operations and prudent financial management.

Alade-Akinyemi said the company would continue working to strengthen supply reliability, improve cost efficiency, promote innovation, expand its sustainability initiatives and maintain high health and safety standards.

He added that HBM Nigeria would build on its current operational momentum by leveraging the industrial and technical expertise of Huaxin Building Materials Ltd to further improve efficiency across the business.

On the company’s outlook for the remainder of 2026, Alade-Akinyemi said demand for cement in Nigeria remained positive, supported by ongoing infrastructure projects, urbanisation and sustained activity in the construction sector despite uncertainties in the global operating environment.
