Veritasi Homes Secures N50bn Funding Programme to Drive Expansion

Veritasi Homes & Properties Plc has completed a N50 billion non-interest commercial paper programme, providing the real estate company with additional funding to expand its operations and increase residential developments across Nigeria.

The programme was formally executed at a signing ceremony in Lagos on August 6, 2026, after the completion of the necessary regulatory and programme requirements.

The new funding arrangement gives Veritasi Homes another channel to raise structured capital as it seeks to grow its residential property portfolio and strengthen its presence in major Nigerian markets.

Speaking at the ceremony, the company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Nola Adetola, said the transaction reflected increasing investor confidence in Veritasi Homes and its business model.

Adetola said the company’s success should be assessed not only by the properties it has delivered, but also by the trust it has developed among investors, business partners and customers.

He described the N50 billion programme as evidence that good governance, strategic planning and ethical financing can be used to raise capital for sustainable long-term expansion.

According to him, Veritasi Homes will continue to develop sustainable communities, generate lasting value and contribute to efforts aimed at addressing Nigeria’s housing and infrastructure challenges.

A Partner at Veritasi Homes, Tobi Yusuff, said the programme would help the company enter strategic markets and accelerate the delivery of premium residential projects.

Yusuff said the initiative was not solely about raising funds, but also demonstrated the company’s commitment to transparency, operational efficiency and sustainable value creation.

He added that the company was focused on developing communities rather than simply constructing houses, while expressing confidence that continued backing from investors and partners would support further expansion.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Pathway Advisors Limited, Adekunle Alade, who served as lead arranger and financial adviser to the programme, described the transaction as another milestone in Veritasi Homes’ development within Nigeria’s capital market.

Alade said Pathway Advisors began working with Veritasi Homes in 2022, when the company was still establishing itself in the capital market.

He noted that the developer had since built a strong record as an issuer, with previous commercial paper offers attracting substantial investor interest and becoming oversubscribed.

According to Alade, Veritasi Homes’ ability to meet its financial obligations and maintain disciplined corporate governance has contributed to stronger confidence among investors.

He described the new N50 billion programme as both a financing mechanism and a reflection of investors’ confidence in the company’s future growth.

Veritasi Homes had earlier entered the commercial paper market through a N20 billion Conventional Commercial Paper Programme registered in 2022. The programme later expired after the company raised up to N15 billion and fully settled all matured obligations on or before their respective due dates.

In 2025, the company registered another N20 billion Commercial Paper Programme, under which it issued Series 1 and Series 2.

Series 1 was fully redeemed on April 17, 2026, with approximately N6.13 billion repaid to investors. The funds raised supported major projects, including the Camberwall Advantage Series and Tinuola Towers.

Veritasi Homes also said its growth has attracted international recognition, with the Financial Times listing the company among Africa’s fastest-growing companies and identifying it as the only Nigerian real estate company on the list.
