The founder of J.O Empire, Omorinsola Jayeola, has highlighted the importance of creativity, consistency and quality in building a successful beauty and lifestyle business.
Speaking on Trade FM’s Breakfast Business Briefing, Jayeola said her passion for working with her hands and helping people inspired her to establish J.O Empire, a beauty and lifestyle brand offering nail services, hairstyling, crochet creations and cocktail services.
According to her, the decision to combine multiple services under one brand was driven by her desire to showcase her diverse creative talents, rather than limiting herself to a single area of expertise.
She explained that what began as a personal interest in crocheting gradually evolved into a business after she acquired additional skills in the beauty industry and started promoting her services while in school.
Jayeola noted that creativity and innovation are essential for success in the highly competitive beauty and lifestyle sector, stressing the need for continuous learning and keeping up with changing trends.
She also attributed the growth of her brand to a strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality service delivery and building lasting relationships with clients. According to her, social media and word-of-mouth referrals have played significant roles in attracting and retaining customers.
The entrepreneur further emphasised the importance of using quality materials and paying attention to detail, adding that effective organisation and proper scheduling have helped her manage the different services offered by her brand.
Jayeola encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs in the beauty and lifestyle industry to remain consistent, keep developing their skills and leverage digital platforms to grow their businesses.
