Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, and Nollywood actor Charles Okocha were involved in a tense verbal exchange during a face-off ahead of their celebrity boxing rematch.
The bout, tagged “Chaos in the Ring,” is scheduled to take place on July 31, 2026, in Lagos.
Videos shared online by the organisers, Balmoral Promotions, and reposted by Okocha on his verified Instagram page showed both entertainers confronting each other on stage before security personnel stepped in.
In the footage, the pair traded insults, rose from their seats and threw mock punches while speaking with a moderator about their preparations for the highly anticipated rematch.
The second fight comes after Portable defeated Okocha by unanimous decision in their first encounter earlier this year, leading the actor to activate the rematch clause.
During the exchange, Portable repeatedly insisted that he would beat Okocha again, saying he had trained and was fully prepared for another victory.
Okocha responded by telling the singer to save his energy and confidence for fight night, warning him against disrespecting him.
Reacting to the confrontation, Balmoral Promotions wrote that Portable was refusing to calm down and suggested that the fight night would be even more intense.
The face-off has sparked reactions across social media from fans and celebrities.
Actor Timini Egbuson commented that the winner of the fight seemed certain, while media personality Do2dtun said boxing is about composure, not talking, and wished the better fighter success.
Music executive Don Wily also declared support for Okocha, describing himself as part of “Team Charles Okocha.”
The organisers said the fight will be streamed live, while tickets are already on sale for fans who want to attend the event in person.
The celebrity boxing showdown has continued to generate significant online buzz, with supporters of both contestants expressing confidence ahead of the July 31 fight night.
