Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons during a late-night operation, underscoring ongoing efforts to tackle insecurity that continues to pose risks to economic activities and investor confidence. The victims, including the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, were abducted on June 3 while on their way to school. Police said sustained intelligence gathering and tactical operations led to their rescue around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.According to security sources, two suspected kidnappers were killed during a gun battle with operatives, while two firearms were recovered. Authorities are also pursuing other members of the syndicate believed to have escaped with gunshot wounds.Security analysts say the successful operation highlights the importance of intelligence-led policing in addressing kidnapping, a crime that has increasingly affected businesses, disrupted commercial activities, and raised concerns about the safety of investors and workers across parts of the country.Police have intensified search operations in nearby communities as efforts continue to dismantle the criminal network behind the abduction.
