Lagos Hosts Global Investors for West Africa Industrial Push

Global investors, policymakers and industry leaders are set to gather in Lagos for the West Africa Industrialisation, Manufacturing and Trade Summit and Exhibition.
The three-day summit, scheduled for March 3rd to 5th, 2026, at the Landmark Centre, comes as governments across the region shift focus from macroeconomic stabilisation to driving industrial growth, boosting manufacturing investments and creating jobs.
Organisers say the event, themed “Accelerating West Africa’s Sustainable Industrial Revolution for Economic Prosperity,” is designed as a policy-to-project platform aimed at converting regional trade opportunities into factory-level investments and resilient value chains within the next 12 to 18 months.
The summit is taking place against the backdrop of new industrial and trade policy reforms. In Nigeria, the Federal Government recently introduced the National Industrial Policy to strengthen manufacturing competitiveness and value addition.
At the continental level, implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area has moved into an active phase, with increased emphasis on digital trade, industrialisation and measurable outcomes.
Confirmed participants include Nigeria’s Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Enoh, alongside industry ministers from Benin, Senegal and Ghana. Delegates are also expected from several African countries as well as the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Austria, China, India, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Canada.
Discussions at the summit will focus on aligning national industrial policies with continental trade rules, securing reliable energy for manufacturing, mobilising blended finance for industrial projects and reducing cross-border trade costs.
Organisers say the programme will feature ministerial panels, investor roundtables and technical workshops aimed at translating political commitments into bankable projects and measurable industrial capacity across West Africa.
