The incident occurred around midnight on Thursday at No. 42 Governors Road, Aboru, according to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA.

The agency said its emergency response team was dispatched to the location after receiving a distress call and found workers trapped beneath the debris.

Two adult males were rescued from the rubble and given first aid before being taken to a nearby health facility for further treatment.

However, another adult male was found dead beneath the collapsed structure.

At the time of the report, personnel from LASEMA, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, and the Lagos State Ambulance Service, LASAMBUS, were still at the scene carrying out recovery operations.
