Full List: Winners at the 2026 PFA Awards

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and Manchester City forward Khadija “Bunny” Shaw emerged as the biggest winners at the 2026 Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Awards, taking home the Men’s and Women’s Players’ Player of the Year awards respectively.

The honours, which are voted for by fellow professional footballers, recognise outstanding performances across English professional football.

Manchester City midfielder Nico O’Reilly was named Men’s Young Player of the Year, while Olivia Smith of Arsenal won the Women’s Young Player of the Year award.

The ceremony took place at the Manchester Opera House, where former Liverpool manager Sir Kenny Dalglish and former England international Karen Carney OBE were also presented with PFA Merit Awards.

  • Men’s Players’ Player of the Year: Bruno Fernandes — Manchester United
  • Women’s Players’ Player of the Year: Khadija “Bunny” Shaw — Manchester City

  • Championship Player of the Year: Hayden Hackney — Middlesbrough
  • League One Player of the Year: Dom Ballard — Leyton Orient
  • League Two Player of the Year: Aaron Drinan — Swindon Town

Premier League Team of the Year

David Raya; Gabriel Magalhães, Nico O’Reilly, William Saliba, Jurrien Timber; Bruno Fernandes, Declan Rice, Rayan Cherki; Erling Haaland, Antoine Semenyo, Igor Thiago.

Championship Team of the Year

Carl Rushworth; Milan van Ewijk, Bobby Thomas, Tom Crama, Taylor Harwood-Bellis; Hayden Hackney, Matt Grimes, Jack Rudoni; Žan Vipotnik, Haji Wright, Femi Azeez.

League One Team of the Year

George Wickens; Sonny Bradley, Tendayi Darikwa, Perry Ng, Carl Piergianni; Oliver Norwood, Lewis Wing, Jack Moylan; Dom Ballard, Kyle Wootton, Amario Cozier-Duberry.

League Two Team of the Year

Max Hudson; Omar Sowunmi, K. Watts, J. Sanders, J. Gibbons; Alex Gilbey, Mike Pinnock, Sammy Braybrooke; Aaron Drinan, Macauley Cheek, C. Paterson.

The PFA Awards hold particular significance because the winners are selected by professional footballers themselves, making the honours a direct recognition of outstanding performances by their peers during the season.
