The founder of the Initiative for Peace, Forgiveness and Love for One Another (IPFLOA), Ambassador Kingsley Atoe, has appealed to Nigerian music stars Peter and Paul Okoye, formerly known as the P-Square duo, to forgive each other and reconcile.
In a message addressed to the brothers, Atoe urged them to set aside their disagreements, hurt and bitterness and restore their relationship as brothers.
The appeal comes amid renewed public attention to the prolonged rift between the Okoye twins. After reuniting in 2021 following an earlier split, the brothers reportedly fell out again in 2024 over issues linked to their music business and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
Atoe reminded Peter and Paul of the years they spent growing up and working together, saying the success of P-Square was built on the talent, strength and determination of two brothers pursuing a shared dream.
He specifically called on both brothers to make the first move toward peace, stressing that family ties should be more important than any dispute.
The peace advocate also noted the influence the duo has had on millions of young people who followed their journey from humble beginnings to international success.
According to him, a reconciliation between the brothers would send a strong message that disagreements do not have to permanently destroy relationships.
Atoe said forgiveness and reconciliation would become a greater legacy than music, awards and other achievements, adding that peace should ultimately define their relationship.
He concluded by praying for healing within the family and urging Peter and Paul to reunite and demonstrate that brotherly love, forgiveness and peace can overcome even deep divisions.
The appeal follows similar recent calls from members of the Okoye family, including their elder brother Henry Okoye, who also appealed for efforts to restore unity despite expressing doubts about how soon reconciliation might happen.
