Turkish champions Galatasaray have reportedly reduced their valuation of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to €65 million as interest grows from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.
According to Turkish outlet Haberler, citing Sky Sports, Al Hilal have contacted Galatasaray to learn the conditions for a possible transfer involving the Super Eagles forward.
Osimhen only recently completed a permanent move from Napoli after a successful loan spell in Turkey, but reports indicate that Galatasaray are still open to a sale if a club meets their €65m asking price.
The report added that the final decision would depend on Osimhen, as Al Hilal would need to persuade the striker to move to Saudi Arabia in addition to reaching an agreement with Galatasaray.
Al Hilal are also said to be preparing for the move by creating space in their squad, with reports suggesting the Saudi club could part ways with Karim Benzema and intensify discussions with Osimhen’s representatives in the coming days.
If he stays in Turkey, Osimhen is expected to spearhead Galatasaray’s bid for a third consecutive Super Lig title. Bookmakers Sportingbet currently rate Galatasaray as favourites at 2.00, ahead of Fenerbahce (2.75), Besiktas (7.00) and Trabzonspor (12.00).
Since arriving at Galatasaray, Osimhen has scored 59 goals in 74 appearances. He will also face stronger competition in the league this season after Trabzonspor signed Mohamed Salah to play alongside Paul Onuachu, while Fenerbahce added Mason Greenwood and Romelu Lukaku to strengthen their attack.
