Court orders forfeiture of N4.6bn jewellery, exotic cars linked to Achimugu

An Abuja High Court sitting in Apo has ordered the final forfeiture of assets worth billions of naira linked to businesswoman Aisha Achimugu to the Federal Government.

The assets include jewellery valued at N4.645 billion, 11 luxury vehicles worth N4.293 billion, $50,000 in cash and N30 million in cash.

Justice Jude Onwugbuzie issued the order on Thursday, July 16, 2026, while ruling on an application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC had asked the court to permanently forfeit the assets, which had previously been the subject of legal proceedings involving Achimugu.

The judgment, delivered by Justice Onwugbuzie, grants the anti-graft agency’s request, making the forfeiture of the high-value assets and cash holdings final.
